[@cherokeepatti] kicked my pie craving into a severe overload, anyone on SW know how to make a buttermilk pie or a haupia pie?

1 cup buttermilk = 1 Tablespoon white vinegar + enough milk to measure 1 cup
1 cup buttermilk = 1 Tablespoon lemon juice + enough milk to measure 1 cup

@curiosi It’s awesome that you posted that great recipe! It’s very easy and cheap to make and that was the whole idea, a hundred years ago. Please do try, you will be amazed at the result for something so simple.🤗

@NoGamesTolerated I've not seen buttermilk here. Maybe they don't sell it. I'll Google it later as the pie sounds good.

Ingredients

Milk (just under one cup)
1 Tablespoon white vinegar or lemon juice
Method
STEP 1
1. Place a Tablespoon of white vinegar or lemon juice in a liquid measuring cup.
STEP 2
2. Add enough milk to bring the liquid up to the one-cup line.
STEP 3
3. Let stand for five minute. Then, use as much as your recipe calls for.
