Which languages would you think hardest to learn?

Apparently Arabic grammar's pretty tough; estimated time about three years of reasonably regular study to become competent. I'm on year one. Getting there slowly.
French. It’s dumb

Finnish - haven't tried it myself yet, but I heard horror stories :). It is not related to any of the mainstream languages and that makes it hard to put into patterns that you have in your head.

A language that's origins are most isolated from the origin of your native language..

@ExtremeNext No such language! It's more of an adulterated English!

My friend and I were in Singapore and met a group of Chinese Singaporians in our hotel bar. One of them was studying Japanese (as a hobby) and said it was the hardest language he'd tried to learn as it has 6 more characters than Chinese. He was fluent in Mandarin, English, French and German.
