A world held hijacked by a virus that can be killed with hand sanitizer.

@MrBrownstone problem is, once someone is infected, hand sanitizer won't kill it, only isolation will prevent it from spreading...

@spjennifer Same as the flu but that didn’t stop the world.
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@MrBrownstone Most "Flus" as you call them don't kill 750,000 people in 6 months, this is more serious than just a flu!

@spjennifer You’d better look again

@spjennifer Until recently, the World Health Organization (WHO) estimated the annual mortality burden of influenza to be 250 000 to 500 000 all-cause deaths globally; however, a 2017 study indicated a substantially higher mortality burden, at 290 000-650 000 influenza-associated deaths from respiratory causes alone, and a 2019 study estimated 99 000-200 000 deaths from lower respiratory tract infections directly caused by influenza. Here we revisit global and regional estimates of influenza mortality burden and explore mortality trends over time and geography.

@spjennifer In denial or a liar?

@MrBrownstone No, just not a moron, do you not realize that those numbers from 2019 have now doubled because of CV19? Yes, those annual numbers may be accurate but you can now add 750,000 more to them for this year, so far...
