For those who had an infection for open sores, and it may contain pus, how to properly treat it?

I'm asking because I had an infection and drained it from my toe and put some alcohol on it to clean it. Obviously, it works half way. Any remedies?

You need antibiotics. Home remedies only go so far.

@Snowvixen I don't think I have antibiotics.
@xSiFiGamer2016x you need to go get it checked dude.

@xSiFiGamer2016x a trip to the doctor to look at for a course of antibiotics to clear the infection

If it's an ingrown toenail soak in Epsom

@Starcrossed That's what I've looked up earlier, but I don't have that salt, apparently.

Maybe some Neosporin.

@Spoiledbrat I don't have those 🤷🏾‍♂️
Maybe try baking soda. @xSiFiGamer2016x

@Spoiledbrat I might have that. I'll try it.
Go to your doctor. Get antibiotics. Or, you know, be in pain, watch it get worse, and risk losing a toe.

The alcohol on the outside works half way.

Now you need to drink some alcohol to get the other half.

@Abstraction I don't drink 👍

I had a nasty infection on my knee a couple years ago and poured peroxide on it every couple days. It burned like a bitch, but it helped clear it up.

@ScrewThisImDone I'm glad it did cleared up. I know what it's like to have a cut like that. It sucks ass..

If I were to make it well, I'd kiss my 2 fingers and pass that kiss to your knee, I guess.
