it's the warmth of candle on a cold winter's night; the taste of southern comfort food when nothing else has gone right.

@stound wow that is poetic. Well done
If you stand next to a large yellow object it will reflect less warmth than white, and will feel about 2ºC warmer to touch than white. The trouble is, it wouldn't be possible to tell it apart from a different colour of the same tone.
Sighted people think yellow is often a good colour to use if you want to be easily seen in a natural or urban environment, like a soprano flute stands out against a melody played on a cello.

That's kinda interesting actually, but did you make the first part up, or is that an actual thing?
@boklenholley7 No, it's an actual thing. Blind people can feel the colour of light, and the reflections of colour: their other senses learn to be far more acute to compensate.
Also, I once had to design a mural for a 10-storey building. The wall faced the sun, and one of the requirements was that it would not cause the building to become hotter. I did research into what degree of temperature difference there was for different colours. The result was that white is always 10ºC cooler than black, with the temperatures between depending on relative degree of light or dark tone (grayscale) for each colour. In the end, I designed a mural that was mostly white, with a composition like a Zen ink sketch.
