Do females feel a need to feel beautiful?

Do you think that for females beauty is built so much into our identity that there is a genuine need for this to be validated amongst most women in order for them to feel high self worth? Validation thru attention, online views, stares, jealousy from other females, jobs where looks are important, boyfriends, husbands and just in life in general. Are women subtly and overtly seeking validation of our looks from everyone more so than men do?

I like feeling beautiful, but it is not because I'm seeking validation from anyone. You're placing an assumption that women want to look beautiful for someone else. Many women like looking beautiful for themselves. I workout for myself. I put on makeup for myself. I write poetry and read books and do art for myself. I take selfies and admire myself, then I delete them or don't share them. Sometimes I share them to share reflections on things I've learnt about myself to connect with others. I think more people want to connect than seek validation. It's such a lowly way of looking at why people do what they do. Humans are social beings who often connect firstly via appearance. Connections made beyond appearance come second, so looks are fairly important. It doesn't mean that the importance of appearance stems from insecurities, though. I, for one, am far more insecure about the things I fear others think of me from minor encounters that can't possibly paint the whole story than I am over anything else. My greatest insecurity and validation is in feeling like I'm understood and valued by others for what I am and have to offer.

@Streamofconsciousness We dont exsist in a vacuum and everything that we do has been affected by the larger society around us. Beauty is a focal point in our society. I am not assuming that people are shallow. I actually interpret somethings that you commented about differently than you might. This question is a thought experiment but I do not agree with everything that you have said but some interpretation is subjective and I acknowledge this.
