My husbands brother in law tested positive for Coronavirus.

They took him to McCormick place last night. He has 5 kids. Now all under at home strict quarantine

They’ve all be coughing since last week.

My husbands sister was just asking my husband to go fix her house this week and my husband had planned to go finish her bathroom on wed-frid

I can’t believe she knew they had all been coughing for over a week and didn’t tell him that! That fucking cunt! It’s not just a conspiracy, it’s a real fucking disease and my immune system is weak and compromised, the likelihood of me surviving it are not high!!!

Hope they are ok but your husband shouldn’t be going there anyway. I dont know where you are but most places recommend everyone stay at home. The bathroom can wait.

@SW-User my husband runs an essential business. We’re independent business owners and we do construction work.
He’s had to continue working and fulfilling his contracts. He gave the homeowners options to postpone with no fee but they all wanted to continue.
All of the homes we work at are unoccupied, or the homeowners disinfect and stay out of the work area for 48hrs before we start working.
Safety is first, ours and the homeowners.
We had only 1 customer who opted to postpone. we even returned her deposit because it’s the right thing to do.

With that opening there my husband was going to fill his schedule by finishing his sisters apartment- where my MIL will move into this summer, and her second floor addition bathroom at her primary residence- however since her husband has not tested positive, he will not be doing any of that work.
He would have applied the same conditions to his sister that he applied to our current customers.

He wasn’t going to be going over for a chit chat and lunch. But she would more than likely have gone out there to see if he needed anything

@KaysHealingPath Working in unoccupied homes makes good sense.

@SW-User work needs to be done.
Insurance have contracted us to do so. Again we offer all owner occupied residents an opportunity to reschedule. We only had 1 take the option.

The others have agreed to stay out of the work space- some have second bathrooms or kitchens so it’s completely do-able the one who canceled is pregnant so she didn’t want to risk it and I don’t blame hers

It would have been much easier had they closed everything down except grocery stores and hospitals, but they deemed construction essential...
