My husbands brother in law tested positive for Coronavirus.

They took him to McCormick place last night. He has 5 kids. Now all under at home strict quarantine

They’ve all be coughing since last week.

My husbands sister was just asking my husband to go fix her house this week and my husband had planned to go finish her bathroom on wed-frid

I can’t believe she knew they had all been coughing for over a week and didn’t tell him that! That fucking cunt! It’s not just a conspiracy, it’s a real fucking disease and my immune system is weak and compromised, the likelihood of me surviving it are not high!!!
I can totally see that. With seasonal allergies in full bloom, I am coughing allot. But I KNOW I have allergies and I take my temp 3 times a day.

This virus is scary deadly for some of us with compromised immune systems such as yourself. Lets face it, we are surrounded by idiots, non-believers and fools.

Luckily I work from home and my son took a leave of absence so only one person (my spouse) is doing anything that needs to be done off the property and she is being extremely cautious.

Isn't your husband's brother-in-law your brother? Or do y'all live in Arkansas?
RedBaron · M
@KaysHealingPath OK, but how is his brother-in-law not your brother?
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@RedBaron read my reply again.

And of all the things you can choose to post a question of you’re picking at my choice of words.

@RedBaron [c=#4C0073] the husband can have a sister right? and that sister can be married right? so what is his sister's husband to him? not rocket science bruh[/c]
It maybe too late but isolate your hubby in a room for 2 weeks if you can. Have him wear a mask inside the house.
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@Haniazed he hasn’t gone over there.
He’s been working in vacant houses for the last month.

This week he worked in an occupied house and spoke to the homeowner through their glass screen door, he asked they she keep her distance from him and that she not touch anything that he’s going to work with.

The home owner disinfected then entire area that my husband is working in and has not entered the area 48 hrs before he even started working there
@KaysHealingPath Oh OK good. Please be careful and I hope your BIL recovers soon.

Thanks love @Haniazed

Do whatever it takes to keep yourself safe Kay. Why some people still aren't already taking this situation seriously beggars belief. 🤨

Hope they are ok but your husband shouldn’t be going there anyway. I dont know where you are but most places recommend everyone stay at home. The bathroom can wait.
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@SW-User my husband runs an essential business. We’re independent business owners and we do construction work.
He’s had to continue working and fulfilling his contracts. He gave the homeowners options to postpone with no fee but they all wanted to continue.
All of the homes we work at are unoccupied, or the homeowners disinfect and stay out of the work area for 48hrs before we start working.
Safety is first, ours and the homeowners.
We had only 1 customer who opted to postpone. we even returned her deposit because it’s the right thing to do.

With that opening there my husband was going to fill his schedule by finishing his sisters apartment- where my MIL will move into this summer, and her second floor addition bathroom at her primary residence- however since her husband has not tested positive, he will not be doing any of that work.
He would have applied the same conditions to his sister that he applied to our current customers.

He wasn’t going to be going over for a chit chat and lunch. But she would more than likely have gone out there to see if he needed anything
SW-User
@KaysHealingPath Working in unoccupied homes makes good sense.
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@SW-User work needs to be done.
Insurance have contracted us to do so. Again we offer all owner occupied residents an opportunity to reschedule. We only had 1 take the option.

The others have agreed to stay out of the work space- some have second bathrooms or kitchens so it’s completely do-able the one who canceled is pregnant so she didn’t want to risk it and I don’t blame hers

It would have been much easier had they closed everything down except grocery stores and hospitals, but they deemed construction essential...
MarineBob · 56-60, M
Today contractors need be very picky on the work we take on, my people are on two different sites keeping a safe distance from each other and not leaving the sites. Luckily both have plenty of cabins and space
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@MarineBob exactly.

My husband has been working on vacant properties the last month to month and a half.

This weekend he had an owner occupied property. But the owner and he spoke through glass storm door and most of the work my husband is doing outdoors (siding) some of it indoors but it’s a sun room the owner disinfected the entire room and didn’t go in for 48hrs before he started working.
Then on the first day my husband started working asked that she please keep her distance and stay indoors - they would speak through the phone or glass storm door.

Hubby has been wearing his N95 mask and gloves
luctoretemergo · 61-69, M
Are they actually taking patients there?
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@luctoretemergo yes well I don’t agree that Walsh should have gotten it, but Walsh does a lot of the city’s work and the City OWEs millions to Walsh. The city is behind on all their bills, the reason I know this is because I used to work at Lakeshore and we ran dumpster trucks for the city’s construction projects on Walsh projects. The city pays out over 180 days.
So I’m sure the city just saw it as a kick back. IMO they should have awarded to a number of other construction companies, but I’m sure none had the man power needed to complete the task so rapidly.
luctoretemergo · 61-69, M
@KaysHealingPath As they kids say (or used to say): "you be knowin".
Thanks for that....it's just typical city money-madness. Hope you have a good day - be well stay safe! :)
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@luctoretemergo of course it is.
But I’m sure not many other construction companies have the capital to sit around and wait for the city to finally pay out.

Shit we were a sub on a city job once and took over 12 months to get a pay out. As soon as the main contractor recieced his waiver and check they had our waiver ready and check ready 24hrs after - it’s stressful af. We have zero interest in taking part in any city projects in the near future.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
My friend's daughter has it. She's OK. The thing that's tough is that many people just don't get it. Adding to that is springtime allergies--people could be coughing due to that or a simple cold. I personally have a condition where I'm prone to coughing a lot, but it's not a sickness.
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@uncalled4 and I get that but if there is even a remote chance it’s something other than allergies why even risk compromising the health of others?
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
@KaysHealingPath Many people don't get it. My friend was just on a commuter train. Less than 10 people on the whole thing. Some asshole sits right across from him, maybe 5 feet away. He told the guy to fuck off.

This is why we have this health issue.
