@IstillmissEP im really sorry about that. We often tend to underestimate what's going on others' minds. But im sure she knew how much you loved her. All our loved ones know that
Ian123 · 61-69, M
@IstillmissEP I did that, I never told my father I loved him enough.

Smoking synthetic weed.

@Tellmeaboutyourself Definitely.
I had some good times but in the end the bad far outweighed the good, with side effects that lasted several months to several years later, like a worse memory and flashes of images of me stabbing myself everytime I held a sharp object.
Tellmeaboutyourself · 26-30, F
@Redstar ooh, that is really bad. I never thought it would be for years
Redstar · 36-40, M
@Tellmeaboutyourself The memory problem lasted for years, well my memory has never quite returned to what it once was. But the images of stabbing myself lasted... around 6 months? Which is also about how long me and a mate were smoking that shit for.

Don’t worry, probably your mind was on other things and it’s too late now 😀 My biggest regret was that I didn’t pick up the warning signs when my Mum was ill, she never said anything but looking back the signs were there. I did all I could when she was in hospital but it wasn’t enough 😟
Tellmeaboutyourself · 26-30, F
@Ian123 Sometimes there's only much we can do. Even doctors fail to pick up signs sometimes so it's not your fault and we tend to think that such a simple thing might not be serious. You love your mother and if you thought it was serious, you'd immediately get her admitted. Things don't go in our favour, im sure she knew how much you loved her.
I was on my period and was in a very bad state. I hope he doesnt think all people are bad or not helpful to him

@Tellmeaboutyourself Thank You for answering and you’re right. In the end I don’t think it would have made much difference but I still feel guilty..

Don’t worry about the blind man, if that’s what you were like it’s understandable. I’m sure you would have helped under different circumstances 🤗

She went to one city to study; I to another. Bad mistake!

@Tellmeaboutyourself Best wishes to yourself. But I'm no believer in Karma. We make decisions. If we're stupid enough to make the wrong ones, we pay the price!
Tellmeaboutyourself · 26-30, F
@alan20 I respect your opinion. Stupid decisions really can turn a table sometimes. But there was a guy i once liked when i was in high school. After our results came out, i understood his were much better and he would get into a better uni than me. Finally during first day at uni, i realized he out of so many unis, he got selected into the one that I applied for. Sometimes even the stupid decisions can take you to the right path

@Tellmeaboutyourself In my case we were childhood sweethearts and the closest of soulmates for quite a few years. In our final year at college she got involved with another and chose him. Still, we're still friends; which is important to me. Some bitterness but c'est la vie. I shouldn't have ended up 500 miles from her. But I'm glad it was less sad for you.

I regret getting into my last relationship when I wasn't prepared for it. I guess this is where we're supposed to be, ultimately...
Tellmeaboutyourself · 26-30, F
@Holdontothefire we can learn only from our mistakes. And you have so many years ahead to make things right
Holdontothefire · 26-30, M
@Tellmeaboutyourself I really hope I do.

Not talking more to my friend who committed suicide.
Wasting my time.
But you kind of go along with life.
Tellmeaboutyourself · 26-30, F
@MasterofNone there are many people who regret for not having spoken to a friend who committed suicide. But we never expect sudden shocks in life and never know how bad it is going in other's mind. We don't have everything in our control all the time so i think you shouldn't be hard on yourself
Regarding wasting your time, you are still young and healthy, you can achieve whatever you set your eyes on
MasterofNone · 26-30, M
@Tellmeaboutyourself Ah thanks. Yes I'm aware. It'll take just a month for me to get from average efficient to super efficient. Hopefully this month is going to be that month. I'm trying but could definitely give more.

I kind of knew my friend was suicidal. I should have known that he was actually going to do it. It's funny because even though somewhere deep inside I knew it was going to happen and yet I always thought he would get over it because hey my friends are smart
