@calicuz I stopped going out that night a long while ago. Just doesn't have the same appeal as it once did. Though the last one I went to was at the Hotel del Coronado...

@calicuz Yeah, it's a great old place. Has several ballrooms and clubs, plus the beach is right there to the left of the photo. So fireworks and music on the beach. If you're a local, like me, I brought my own firewood and did a bonfire afterwards.

Why so early?

@calicuz We are not party people for one thing...so we really have no plans on New Year's Eve. Also, unlike Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and Day are just another day to us, so we just usually do what we routinely do any other day (and we are routinely in bed between 11 and 12:00).
