How do you grieve? I've just lost my Mum and it's all the little things I miss ... so much.

RubySoo · 56-60, F Best Comment
Condolences to you and your kin. Theres no set way....just whats right for you. Even when a parents death is expected we arenever prepared for it.
As you say....its the little things....and....it always will be. We never...'get over it' but we learn to cope and in time the things thats right now cause you tears because you miss her will raise a smile......talk about her as much or as little as you arecomfortable with but remember those tears will always come, sometimes at the most unexpected moments....and thats fine.

Just take things at your own pace. There is no time limit on grief.

Hugs x❤❤

My mother died a little over two years ago. I went through terrible times. I experienced all the emotions, especially guilt. I always thought what if this or that had taken place, she might still be alive. I can still cry easily thinking of her and her last days. But what I do to keep from doing that is I block it out and think of other things. That's how I cope. It's still raw in some respects but sometimes someone will mention my mom and how she was a spit fire. I can laugh about that now. My deepest condolences to you and your family. I hope you feel better soon. It takes time but you will.💐🤗
Zoranna · F
@SW-User Thank you. I'm trying to remember the funny times, she was bossy until the end. That makes me smile.

Your mom was a spit fire too. Awesome. Always remember that. 🤗@Zoranna

I guess we all grieve differently.😔I like to be alone. I'm so sorry for your loss. I see this is an older post, 💙but something like this can feel like it happened yesterday. It's true that time can be a healer, I hope you can begin to smile again when you think of her.😌💗
Peaches · F
@Zoranna I talk to my brother and sister on the other side too.😌✨ I'm glad to know you're healing, 🤗🕊️ we will always miss them.💜
Zoranna · F
@Peaches I was having a bit of a weepy morning but have cheered up now. 😌 I do that when I read nice, caring posts such as yours as I'm a sook basically. lol It's theraputic though. I'm so sorry about the loss of your brother and sister. 😔
One thing I'm really grateful for though is that she has missed all this regarding the virus. I would have been beside myself with worry about her. Small mercies huh? Keep safe Peaches, thank you again and we'll both keep smiling. 🤗💖

@Zoranna Yes, 🤗thank goodness she missed this ugly virus. I'm so happy no one can ever take away our precious memories! 🌟I'm smiling NOW, ☺️💗you stay safe too my friend. 🌷

Sorry for your loss 😔 I guess it will take its own course. Try to write, that's what I would do. I would collect as many memories as I could and put them in writing. Writing for me is cathartic. May she rest in peace ❤️
Zoranna · F
@Portia That's a good idea actually, I might just do that. Thank you.

I'm so sorry.

My deepest condolences. Just feel what you want. Do not place any expectations on yourself. Rely on your beliefs system and let people know it's ok to speak freely with you. Sometimes people are afraid to comfort you because they don't know what to say. This part of life is really hard and only time will heal the wound enough that you can remember her with more joy and less pain.
Zoranna · F
@REMsleep You're so right; people don't know what to say and I know that. Thank you.
