Have you ever had a major recall on a vehicle that you owned?

We had a 2001 Ford Windstar van several years ago that had three. After the third one which was for the rear axle that could suddenly break in half, my husband traded it 😂.

Ford has had major design flaws since the 70s. Things like that are exactly why I won't buy a Ford. Ever.

Edit: I do like the older ones still. Up to about '73 they had a good product in general.

@UckfayOuyayOotay My first car was a Ford Escort 5 speed that was nearly trouble free besides normal wear and tear until the day that it died. That Windstar van though was a different story. A/C compressor, faulty board for the instrument cluster, rear main seal leak, transmission issues, and cruise control problems. Sister also had a Ford Taurus, that blew it's head gasket at only 11 years old and 73,000 miles.
