I had a Cutlass Cruiser with a 4 tech engine
30 plus miles to the gallon ,looked a lot like that wagon in your pic ,,,I miss that car still
I hauled 36 tires to the landfill ,tires inside and out ,the lady at the weigh station said she bet I held the record ..
When I came into town we looked like the hillbillies just hit town ,it was loaded down ,
get on the interstate ,set the cruise control ,crank up the stereo and the AC and let her roll
I pulled a land yacht with it that made school buses look like toys ,,it was huge ,,,the cops were directing traffic but they had no clue what to do with it ,
I got its air brakes off ,,hooked onto it with my tow rope and soon it was out of the road and safely on the shoulder out of the way ,all the cops came to shake my hand ,,they were worried that since I disabled the things brakes how we would stop it ,,
I towed ships and boats in the Coast Guard ,,none of them had brakes ,
Dad had a 55 Chevy ,traded it for a 69 Tbird ,that ended up being my first car ,I sold it and bought my first Mustang
@rckt148 We drove our Caprice wagon from Houston to Chicago when we moved in 1984. It was a long trip, but it got us there safe and sound.

Your question had to make me chuckle. I vividly remembered a '41 Oldsmobile that my father bought used after WWII. Primarily because the styling was so much different than the '38 Plymouth we had all during the war and immediate post-war years. He, on the other hand, vociferously denied he would have ever owned an Olds and never had. My brother concurred with me.

the first car i remember was a Volkswagen Beetle. the interior smell and engine sound of one those is probably the single most nostalgic thing i can experience to this day.

Yes. I remember them well because my dad was a mechanic and we had them forever....

Do you think there is an upper limit, sizewise? 😁
@helenS You know, I was looking at 70's cars, and it seems like American cars just got bigger each year! 😂
