When a person is drowning in water,all the events since birth are rewinded in a flash. It's true and I have experienced it

I've read the same thing written by other people who were close to death. If you're telling the truth then that must have been a really intense experience.
I wonder....could that be the subconscious mind quickly reviewing your life in order to find anything that could help in that situation ? Trying to find any memory that could help ? I wonder. It's amazing how the mind can review so many things so quickly when it has a good incentive.
