Have you ever been shot?(both)

When I was 14, me and a mate was up in the hills exploring. I had gotten about 200 meters ahead when suddenly something hit me in the side of my head and forcefully knocked me to the ground.
My mate had shot me with his air rifle which fired lead slugs. I laid on the ground with blood pouring out pretending to be dead.
He came running up, crying loudly and screaming, "I did not mean to hit you, I fired above you"
I laid prostrate for about 2 minutes before showing him I was alive. Poor kid was in a right state thinking he had killed me.
We told no one. The lead slug was hidden in my hair so could not be seen. It stayed there for 6 weeks until the swelling went down and I removed it with tweezers

In 2006, I was shot in the leg by my Mother's neighbor. He and his brother were dealing dope and he wanted to scare off my Mom, who had called him out on his activities several times. I don't think he actually meant to hit anyone. He wanted to scare us. The first round sounded like a firecracker a block away. The fnext one I heard break the the sound barrier over my head. I was just orienting myself to the source of the sound when a third one smacked the front of my right shin.
I looked down, saw the hole (which I never felt), grabbed Mom and Stepdad and directed them to the ground. Handed Mom my phone and told her to call 911. I have never never been so furious in my life!

To this day I don't know what made me do what I did next. I retrieved my pistol from my vehicle, approached his house behind the cover of a truck and a big tree and when he poked his head out, ordered him out at gunpoint and proned him out. I then detained him until the police arrived. He was arrested (and later convicted). After I made sure the folks were safe, and after being checked out by EMS, I went to the ER.

Getting shot is apparently the way to get immediate service at the ER on a Saturday night! I was roomed and assessed right away and take. To x-ray. That was where I discovered I was shot with a high powered .22 pellet rifle. The projectile had passed between the two bones in my lower leg and came to rest against the back side of the fibula where it remains today.
