Was I rude yesterday?(50s)

I bought some fruit at a stand yesterday and said to the checkout lady, "Keep the change"
She seemed so happy that she offered me a gnarly old, slightly shrivelled cucumber for free. I said, "No thanks, you keep it, I'm sure you would enjoy it more than me"🤭😁

Reason #2 Keep the change - possible
Reason #3 checkout lady at a fruit stand ? exactly how big is this fruit stand ?
Reason #4 lady just happened to offer you a cucumber
Reason #5 if it was some sort of a stand then why would she give you a weird looking one would she not give you a good one ?

1)Fruit stand is the term I used in the spur of the moment. it was in fact a
Fruit and Vegetable shop
2)Change was a whole 10 cents.
3)Fruit and Veg shops here have any number of checkouts
4)Yes. Lady offered me a below par Cucumber.
5)The "weird" looking ones were the "seconds" set aside to give away.

Seems like your determined to call every guy over 50 a fake.
Interesting that you fail to display your name. Interesting that you do not want others to read your replies. Interesting that you espouse to be open minded but do not accept the truth when posted by guys over 50.
Look at my profile, nothing is hidden, I am an open book with nothing to hide and no reason to make up stories.
Find someone else to harass.

@MarmeeMarch No response required here. Lots of things "sound made up". Simply because you can't believe them does not mean they are not true. Once a person get's to my age we have so many, "sounds made up stories" there is no need to concoct false ones.
No harm done. Simply think before you make judgement calls that those that do not sound right to you must be lies.

@Gusman BTW when you say I have a problem with ppl over 50 it is always because of the perverts that bait others into their strange sick world pretending that they are 18-21 year olds.
