Reasons for anxiety...

1. I have to go pick up a new Internet modem from the cable company (I've put it off for 2 weeks now).
2. I have to disconnect from the Internet.
3. I have to trust the new modem will work when I reconnect everything.

None of these are reasons for anxiety and don't really require doing anything I am not capable of doing. So, why do I feel anxious?

How did it go?

@Miram Well, aside from feeling like a 100% idiot for even making a big deal over it... it went fine. I mean it was no big deal. The weird and sad thing is... I felt so relieved after it was all done... over a simple everyday thing that really didn't even require any thinking. So, there is that...

@MarkPaul You don't really have control over those feelings. The same way I don't always have control over my rage. I am glad it went okay.

@Miram We have to learn control though. Thanks!

@MarkPaul It depends on what that means. The automatic response is to suppress them, end them and people think of that as control. It done nothing good for me.

I just try to watch it pass by and not act on it, violently.

@Miram By control, I mean acknowledge them, work through them, and seize back control from them. It's working to a degree for me, but with relapses.
