Do you believe in ghosts?

@Allelse that’s happened in my old house all the time

@kyky16 Did you find that it tended to get more active in winter?

@Allelse yea I guess. Now that I think about it. Because we were home more when it was cold outside

@kyky16 Ours always seemed to get more rowdy when it was colder and the days were shorter. Once threw a casserole dish off the kitchen counter.

@Allelse that’s crazy. The craziest thing ours did when we lived in that house was tried to kill me at night. I know that sounds ridiculous but it was right after I turned my tv off and my mom was trying to go to sleep. Next thing I know I feel it holding me down and I couldn’t move and then it grabbed my neck and I couldn’t breath. I believe it only stopped because my mom got up and turned the kitchen light on.

@kyky16 Holy shit! That's pretty fucked up. I'm glad you were alright. Worst it ever did to me was it ran its hand over my hair. Fuck that was freaky and I went 'ARGHHHHHHHHHH!!! And Mum and Dad came tearing into my room hahaha. And I told em that someone or something was touching the hair on my head.

@Allelse yea I was really scared from that. I told my mom but she didn’t exactly believe me until the ghost starting slamming doors in her room and messing with her stuff.

@kyky16 Did you have trouble sleeping after that? I know I certainly did.

@Allelse yes I did for awhile. I would sleep with my door open and the tv on

@kyky16 Haha! Yeah me too! Door open, tv on. I didn't want to be locked in there with, whatever the hell that was!

@Allelse same. I really didn’t want to sleep in my room but my mom told me I had to because I’m a teen

@Allelse exactly. I wanted to sleep on the couch or in my moms room

@kyky16 I've always hated sleeping alone, I mean I also have some pretty vivid nightmares in the past.

@Allelse I can relate to that too. I hate sleeping alone just because i like to cuddle lol but I always had vivid night mares when I was younger and I still remember them today.

@kyky16 I still have some today. I was so happy once I moved in with my wife, well we weren't married at the time, but like when I was 18 and we moved in together. And I didn't have to sleep alone ever again!

@Allelse that’s awful that you still have them. I don’t really have nightmares anymore or at least not as often. And that’s good you don’t have to sleep alone anymore

@kyky16 Yeah I've had some pretty bad ones over the years. I'm glad you dont have them as often.

@Allelse I think the winter thing would be because of the darker months. Evil sets in more when people are more vulnerable. Winter, depression, sad times, darkness, fear, anxiety... they thrive on anything negative. And honestly, I've never heard of ghosts having that ability, even to those who believe in ghosts. Poltergeists--demons, honestly, are capable of moving things. I have not met many people who say anything less than a demon is powerful enough to use such tricks. It's a fear tactic. The name of Jesus Christ offends them, as shadows of darkness.

To anyone who may want to ridicule, I won't do a whole lot of debating on the topic. I believe what I believe.

@KayraJordyn Its not evil and haven't heard from it in a while. And I never said it was a ghost or a demon, I dont know what it is, science comes up with an answer then all good. But I just know it'd turn up and throw shit about and then go away and hasn't done so in a while.

@Allelse Do you think science will really catch up with this kind of activity? And, just my curiosity popping up... How do you know it's not evil?

@KayraJordyn I dont know whether science will or not, but even if it doesn't, that doesn't mean there isn't a logical explanation. For example we didn't know Germs for a VERY long time. Oh sure, when the Romans were about we could build bridges so that are still around now and yet had no idea about Germ theory, that didn't mean that an answer wasn't there.

I dont see that there is evil, evil as a concept implies the supernatural, implies a higher sort of 'thing' at work which I dont believe in. People can do evil things but nobody, or anything for that matter is truly evil.

You have faith that there are ghosts. Right? How do you not then have faith that there is something larger at work?

I'm not picking on you, I'm really just curious. How that would work for someone.@Allelse If it's too personal, no worries about responding.

Because if ghosts exist, so does the spirit world.

@KayraJordyn No I dont have faith that its a ghost. I said I dont know what it is, only that it does what it does and that science doesn't have an answer for it at this moment.
