Have you ever been woken up by loud thunder?

I mean here in FL it isn't uncommon, but I usually can sleep through a storm. Today I was woken up by thunder twice. Some cells moved through Florida (oddly enough east to west, not the usual west to east) and it was interesting. I usually would watch the storm but I wanted to sleep. Lightning is fascinating.

I rarely sleep through a storm. Likely as not, there's a tremendous flash that goes past my west-facing bedroom window, followed by a tremendous growl of thunder. Sometimes, it's so deep the ground shakes.
