Are those talks one-sided? 😂

For me, it's linguistics and languages in first place, followed by biology. I can also talk your ear off about certain movies or TV shows.

my hubby has these topics — astronomy, and environment and ya usually one sided cause no one cares about them as much as he does. soon as he starts a sentence with “did you knoooiwww....” people disconnect.

@NiftyWhite My sentences usually begin with "It's interesting, because..." and people tend to tune out. They're questioning my use of the word "interesting". 😅

@SW-User i’ve told him people just wanna socialize - they don’t want to be educated - that makes them feel dumb unless they express interest that they WANT to know.

@NiftyWhite It's often easier to talk at people than to talk with them, but the latter is where the really rewarding conversation comes from.

@SW-User i agree. he’s more interested in topics/things than people though. he can sit all day and watch youtube about life on mars or whatever.meanwhile on earth life is going on all around him lol.
