Are those talks one-sided? 😂

For me, it's linguistics and languages in first place, followed by biology. I can also talk your ear off about certain movies or TV shows.

art history and sociological theory, but I don't ever meet anyone else that's into the same things as I am. It doesn't bother me, I'm used to it.

@SW-User Same. No one I know cares about linguistics or sea sponges. But I love to talk about them 😬 At least after talking about them, people usually admit that it's interesting even if they didn't expect it to be.

@SW-User Well, at least people respond well to it. *-* People assume I'm a social justice hippie when I talk about social stratification and postmodernism and stuff.

@SW-User Yes, I find sometimes I have to avoid buzzwords if I really want people to listen. If you say "intersectionality" or something along those lines, no matter how valid a topic it may be, they may close their minds automatically!

Postmodernism is always good for a discussion 😁
