Do you believe familiarity breeds contempt, and thus friendship is an illusion?

Familiarity does bring contempt but on the other hand, it makes a friendship survive. We wouldn't keep coming to the same freinds if they were someone different every single day. Generally people stop being freinds when they realize they're not the same people anymore.
