Assuming you've tried everything you could at home, I'd see a doctor.
Weed helps me sleep. I haven't had sleeping troubles since I started smoking.

@SW-User I have done both of those things, unfortunately sleep studies are not covered under my insurance and I do not have the money to pay for one. So for the moment I just deal. Not a problem though, I stay pretty functional.

SW-User
After about 6 nights I begin to become a lost case. Begin to make mistakes but I am still comprehensible and fairly functional. Just...do not anger me. :P
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@SW-User Haha, duly noted.

SW-User
I've never started hallucinating but when I start losing focus I'm still good at looking and being relatively functional
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@SW-User It's a good trait to have. 👍 Also good on the hallucinating, it gets really annoying.

SW-User
Lost cause but never got to the hallucination level. I'd probably have to stay up two weeks
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@SW-User Haha, two weeks would certainly do it.
DancingShadows09 · 31-35, F
I am able to stay functional and comprehensible. Not lost at all.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@DancingShadows09 Same here.

@TheDesciple Wise. Hah. The way of the insomniac is not a pleasant one.
ZenKitzune · F
When I can't sleep I have a joint..problem solved.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@ZenKitzune I'm currently in the midst of attempting that solution right now. :P
ZenKitzune · F
@UndeadPrivateer I hope it works out for you :)

It does get hard by this point in not going to lie but my best bet was to take some sleeping pills.

SW-User
I drink strong cough syrup
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@SW-User That's one way to do it.

SW-User
I start hallucinating after two days without sleep. Mostly just some moving shadows and auditory shit.
I only really got more than two days once where I stayed up about 9 days with some 5 minute "naps" after like a week. I was not functional, not to say that I'm functional now though.

@SW-User Yeah, the hallucinations just start around the 26 hour mark for me and become really noticeable closer to 36. But similar to what you describe, moving shadows and auditory stuff. Especially in white noise.

SW-User
@UndeadPrivateer It got really bad when I went outside close to the end. I couldn't hear anything and everything was a blurry mess.
I never want to repeat that :(

@SW-User I just have gotten really bad microsleep episodes from being up for over a week. Where you involuntary fall asleep with no warning. Not a pleasant experience, for sure.
bijouxbroussard · F
Not as well as I used to. When I was young I could go days without sleep. Cold shower, coffee and No Doz throughout the day—I was good to go. 😅
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@bijouxbroussard A marathoner!
BabyLonia · F
I take sleeping pills for those times
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@BabyLonia I've never found one that worked consistently for me that wasn't addictive, honestly. So I avoid 'em unless absolutely necessary.
BabyLonia · F
@UndeadPrivateer it would take a number of sleepless nights for me to use but they're there, just in case
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
I can shower and get maybe an hour or two more out of me then i am a lost cause
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@JaggedLittlePill The shower really only goes so far, heh.
