Why is this ok

If a woman makes a group and is "Empowering women" it is OK to exclude men. If men want to have their own group and they don't include women they are called sexist and treated like criminals why? Now I know somebody is going to act out once they read this. I am going to tell you upfront if you are rude disrespectful or simply trying to bully people that disagree with you. I will block you quickly. Don't challenge my manhood or try to attack me as a person. It is just a question.

Women don’t respect men and I don’t blame them. We have failed
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@YouCanCallMeDan In what way have 'we' failed?
ZenKitzune · F
@YouCanCallMeDan respect is something given to the respectful in my view. There are plenty of assholes around and it's not strictly related to a persons gender.
YouCanCallMeDan · 41-45, M
If we were succeeding then marriages wouldn’t be failing. The family unit would be strong. Children would have two parents
YouCanCallMeDan · 41-45, M
@ZenKitzune you think men are more disrespectful than women? Why?
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@YouCanCallMeDan And what if that set up was wrong? What if it is actually unnatural?

What if we should still be living in communal groups like troops of monkeys do?
ZenKitzune · F
@YouCanCallMeDan maybe that's more to do with human nature than just men. Marriage used to be imposed and difficult to escape from for women since they could not support themselves by working or owning land. Now people can choose and look what happens.
YouCanCallMeDan · 41-45, M
@Quizzical If children needed more than two parents then producing a child would require more than two people.
YouCanCallMeDan · 41-45, M
@ZenKitzune it’s not working though
ZenKitzune · F
@YouCanCallMeDan I recommend a book called sapiens, it has a lot of information on tribal living. Actually it is more natural for children to be raised by a group than just two people.
ZenKitzune · F
@YouCanCallMeDan it's not working because humans naturally live in groups and the strain of finding all the support you need in just one person is proving difficult.
YouCanCallMeDan · 41-45, M
@ZenKitzune thanks I will check that out
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@ZenKitzune I think the tribal route is the more natural one. Closer to our primate precursors.
ZenKitzune · F
@Quizzical it's working in places like Sweden where they have communal living. Everyone helps out with the kids and nobody has to pay for child care. It's much healthier I think.
YouCanCallMeDan · 41-45, M
It worked before feminism. I think feminism caused the gender related problems that we are dealing with now. Places where feminism hasn’t been introduced don’t have high divorce rates@ZenKitzune
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@ZenKitzune I agree
ZenKitzune · F
@YouCanCallMeDan I learned so much from that book, I hope you like it.
ZenKitzune · F
@YouCanCallMeDan that's because women have no choice but to stay in terrible situations. I was in an abusive relationship and am very grateful that I was able to get help and escape. I know that so many women don't have that option.
YouCanCallMeDan · 41-45, M
@ZenKitzune I’m not being funny but women get to choose who they get into a relationship with. It’s not forced. Women stand in front of God and make a promise to honour and obey. Respecting the vows and fear of God is what makes marriage work. Marriages are failing because the vows are thought of as old fashioned because they don’t fit in with feminist ideology
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@YouCanCallMeDan Motivation through fear in any sense is a terrible thing.
ZenKitzune · F
@YouCanCallMeDan obviously you've never ended up in a situation like mine. I never chose what I thought was an abusive man, he changed over a number of years, by the time he showed signs of being controlling and violent I already had young children. Please do not judge women for "choosing" to be abused. That's really quite ignorant.
YouCanCallMeDan · 41-45, M
@Quizzical motivation should come from wanting to create the best possible environment to raise children
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@YouCanCallMeDan Which should be one free from fear...
Capt11 · 46-50, M
@YouCanCallMeDan I don't think I would agree with that. It is not wise to blanket a group with a statement. I know many women who do respect man and it is not about a religious thing. It is truly a question about men and women being able to coexist together while also being separate.
YouCanCallMeDan · 41-45, M
It can work both ways. A man should make sure he chooses a good wife. A failed marriage is a failure for the whole family unit. I’m not blaming women@ZenKitzune
Capt11 · 46-50, M
@YouCanCallMeDan once again this is not about that.
