Have any of you ever taken self defense class?

If so did you ever use your training in a real word scenario?

I joined a short six-week class on as an elective in high school. I can still do all the moves and although I can't fight as well as someone in an actual martial arts class, I wont shy away from using them. Luckily I've never had to! My town is pretty peaceful :)
