Is Buying a Website Domain a Good Idea?

I need a website, but I don't have money
Gauntlets28 · 26-30, M
I'd recommend using wordpress. You can start off with a free site, and maybe work your way up. But seriously, it only costs a few quid a month for a domain.
A lot of large companies frequently use wordpress sites so you know, so there's no real shame in it.

@Gauntlets28 but I don't want my url being WordPress.websitename.com or websitename.wix.com
Gauntlets28 · 26-30, M
@QueenElsa That only applies to the free websites. If you pay a small fee they give you a regular .com website.

Use social media like Facebook it's free and is a good place to start for content especially if it is for building a business that is if it is family friendly

I assume it's a bad idea if you don't have any money...

@Fangirlsarah1996 So true..
The domain costs very little. And you can get a free site through Wix.

MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
I just did, and I have 0 money left. Idk if it's a good idea, but at least I have it.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@QueenElsa No. I used squarespace, it costed me 140 bucks for one year so I got www.squaidink.com
QueenElsa · 22-25
@MartinTheFirst Thats a lot of money though, I found some hosts that do it for $20 a year
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@QueenElsa It is, but you get your own domain. Check it out and you'll get a hunch.
