love is real.. just some people are incapable of loving. they dont know how to. i feel sorry for them. we grow up in society that is now based on hook ups. they never take the time to really get to know a person. if you see how people behave towards the opposite sex there is no real respect.. it became all about lusts. so they never get to experience real love. it seems to be all instant gratification. thats why those who say love isnt real or is just a chemical in the brain believe what they do or have been hurt in the past by someone or someones so they just say its not real because they arent in a loving relationship with a person. even if you have trouble with a S.O. you still have love for family or a pet or friend.. you still know what love is. so for those who say its a facade are just not very smart or are just jaded.
