Question for the old people... how big was the year 2000 new year party ?

Y2K was a special year, the computers had not been programmed to accept dates beyond 2000, and there was fear of total collapse at the stroke of midnight. So, I was a work, we were highly computerized and was worried we would shut down, I was carrying a special walkie talkie in case other forms of communication went dead.
