The neighbours children found it in their garden and were playing with it. It was moving very slowly and felt dry to the touch. He is now rejuvenating in my pond and seems a lot happier.

I'm fond of frogs and toads, too. When I was a little kid I was so enthralled by the tiny baby toads at a nearby creek, that I sometimes brought some home in a bucket. Not for long and I was very careful not to hurt them, but I still feel kind of bad now, that I did that.
