Two days in a row maple was missing during dinner time

Yesterday I found her behind a chair.
Today I found she had made herself a nest under my bed. I don’t know how long she’s had it.
But she was asleep in my foot spa tub, and she had two grocery store bags in there for bedding, and she had FOUR BOTTLES OF MY PERFUME IN THERE 😂 I don’t even know how she managed to pick up the two bigger bottles.
I have a perfume thief on my hands

I was looking around your profile to see who Maple was -

She's an opossum :D I love those little critters.

I have a couple that run around my yard that I feed. One of them, I open the back door and it pretty much just walks in looking for goodies.

Now would you recommend adopting one from the wild if they are grown or is it better to raise them from babies (Well, joeys in their case)

@HoeBag I adopted Maple when she was tiny from a rehabilitator because she wasn’t releasable to the wild, so I’m not sure what it would be like to get an adult. I wonder if it would be difficult to potty train an adult, or if they’d enjoy cuddling and being held if they didn’t grow up with that.

@itsok I will have to see what my options are. I guess adult ones would be more set in their ways.
