Today's wild life report
Two white tailed deer, Two sandhill cranes, 3 swans, a flock of bighorn sheep, a herd of elk and something special. Just west of the Obed mountain summit I spotted a black four legged creature. From a distance I suspected a moose and immediately slowed down because moose are stupid and dangerous. To my surprise it was a horse. Thinking that it was someone's animal I slowed a bit more and noticed that there were about 7 animals. A lead mare was heading south and the rest of the herd was following. Bringing the rear was the stallion I had seen earlier. It's not everyday you see a herd of wild horses on the side of the highway.....
