Nighttime wandering

4:15am I couldn't get back to sleep, combination of my sciatica and my tinnitus. So I went for a walk. Was very calm and quiet around our area this morning. Saw virtually no traffic and not one other meandering night owl like me.

I did encounter a vixon who stared at me until I stepped off the path into the road then she went passed me looking back as much to say "This is my place at this time respect it". A few gardens on there was evidence of her feasting on a discarded burger all over someone's driveway.

I got about 2 miles from home walking along a bit of the downs left largely untouched in the middle of our metropolis now. I stopped and marveled how still and quiet it was. Nothings ever silent with my tinnitus and having left my hearing aids at home no doubt added to my delusion of silence. I turned for home as it started to spit by time I got back it was full on raining with that odd mattelic taste it sometimes produces. I sat on the couch. Next thing I knew my wife was waking me up asking if I was ok and it was gone 7am.
