My thoughts go out to all those that have lost a family member during all those wars that were not yours but fought on behalf of nations at war and that dragged those people with them.

So my question as a lay person is why do Australians and New Zealand governments still send troops to fight wars that they are not theirs? Why do the governments authorize joint facilities where foreign armies can be stationed?

Now, to the nitty-gritty. I don't remember what I was going to say because I obviously prioritized the ANZAC day. Darn, my memory is starting to fail me ๐Ÿซข

@Stephie I wonder if Australia and New Zealand were invaded and colonised much earlier then the English may well have won the War of Independence as they would have sent in the troops. The British Flag would still be flying and No Trumps would be just a 500 Card Game scenario.
