Time to get back on that horse

Started back into normal workout /exercise routine after a long stretch of travel and some time to let a muscle strain heal. Really feeling the lapse in the habit and am having to kind of bull through rebuilding it.

Ugh 🙄.

I'm doing the same thing, myself, after a series of unfortunate events knocked me off my routine. It's not easy but I've been taking some olive leaf extract with dinner each evening and that's been making things somewhat easier. I'm not nearly as sore as I would be normally and don't need as much time to recover between workouts.

Ugh is right. I need to get back in a regular routine, too.

@ChampagneOnIce Ive got another shorter bit of travel coming. Will be doing some modified stuff during that time and settle back in fully once back as likely Labor Day before being gone again.

Are you a gym guy like me? or do you work out at home?

I love the gym atmosphere, even if I don't feel like working out I go anyway, and get
my energy from the people around me.

@DogMan Bought a very nice leverage home gym for my sons in their HS years .. I use it now. Safety even w heavy weights. Started doing some HIIT exercises as well.

I liked the gym environment when I was younger. Find I have less tolerance for some people's attitudes and egos in my old age .. so home works.

@BrandNewMan Yeah, I'm usually the oldest guy in the gym, but I ignore everyone, and do my own thing.

When I see someone on a machine taking their time and looking at their phone I always ask how many
sets they are doing, they get nervous and walk away.

Remember the days when we would ask strangers if we could "Work in with them"? The young folks
now don't even know what that means. We would also spot strangers

@DogMan Yep. People I knew and worked with went to the same gym when I did go to one. That might change it for me, but using what I own for now in absence of it.

Keep it up. Consistency is the key.

@DogMan Yep, I'm on it.
