Advice on Flexibility Exercises for Men

Getting older .. and finding


Dealing with some issues with stiffness .. and not the good kind or place you want it on demand. Mostly in my shoulders and lower back / hips.

Appreciate any advice on flexibility exercises you've personally used to help release those joints and improve flexibility / range of motion.

best stretch ever. do both legs one at a time and really explore the stretch. hold at least 30 seconds, 60 is better

@BrandNewMan another nice gentle stretch for low back and shoulders a little bit is lay your arms flat on a bed and bend atthe waist then push your hips back keeping legs straight. like start with your hands at teh edge of the bed and slide them forward til theyre flat and youre bent over, then push back gently with your hips. its great for your low back and nice on shoulders.

@BrandNewMan also, that first stretch with the strap is great for sciatica if you ever get it. if you really focus on your hip joint it can make it go away. you may have to do it often though if you have it bad but it really helps a lot.
@Penny Thanks again. I do need to get the strap. I'm rather tall, will see if I can do the one on the bed or not.

@BrandNewMan if you dont have a strap you can use a sheet or thin blanket and do it on your bed
