Hot day today for gym

It's a little after lunchtime and I can do nothing but feel dismayed while looking out the window and observing the glare of the external surroundings.

I forgot to bring a sleeveless top, but what the heck, the AC didn't feel much cooler than my own breath.


There were only 2 functioning treadmills left, both being used. I had to settle for the elliptical to see if I can go as far as my usual treadmill exercise.

I did about one kilometer. While my legs were getting a good workout, I was really missing the steady pounding of my feet on the ground. Plus, my arm movements were unnatural.

So I thought, I'll do arm workouts. Good thing after a few sets, one of the treadmills became available.

3 kilometers later, I had enough. Would have liked to push, but it's just too hot.

I am desperately wanting to run outdoors. Will see about tomorrow. I can't do beyond 5 km because I have to be rested and prepared for Sunday.

I'm doing so many things wrong for a non-athletic runner, I know.

(And this is why I miss my lifestyle partner so badly. He has such discipline, getting ready for a marathon.)
