Is the presence of junk/redundant DNA in the genomes of animals better explained by evolution or by creationism?

I know from an evolution perspective we would expect to see this redundancy where it wasn't deleterious to the fitness of the organism. Over time, an organism is going to accumulate a bunch of genes that aren't used or are no longer active.
Simple.

But how does the creationist explain it? Why would a god include junk DNA, huge sections of which can be removed without significant harm to the organism?
