So, evolution. You've all heard of it. What are your top three criticisms of the theory? [Spirituality & Religion]

What are your main stumbling blocks to accepting this theory the way you accept any other scientific theory?

1 that it’s not God breathed. It is.
2 that atheists think it’s the gospel and can’t have anything to do with God because they don’t believe in God. The gospel is in the New Testament.
3 that atheists expect Christians to be open and accepting to evolution theory without the possibility of being God breathed while not being open to the possibility that it is.
@gregloa

So to summarize, you reject evolution based upon faith and you think atheists are unfair about evolution?

Absolutely not. I believe in evolution based on faith. God created the heavens and the earth. How He chose to do it frankly is irrelevant. It’s very interesting but none the less irrelevant. Gods Word tells us that He intentionally confuses the minds of atheists because they are so arrogantly insistent on finding proof that there is no God. If God does exist don’t you agree that He can change anything at anytime just to confuse an atheist into believing they have proof of something or another. Gods Word also tells us that he opens the mind of “true” Christians and lets them know the truth that is relevant at least because a Christians mind shouldn’t be open to that which is irrelevant. How open is your mind. I’m confident.
@gregloa

So you don't really have an issue with the theory and fact of evolution. You just choose to believe it was how god created life.
I'm not sure the idea of a god that intentionally deceives reflects very well on such a deity but i guess the god of the bible does do that sometimes.

My mind is as open as the evidence is convincing. It may be that some new discovery show's that life must have been helped by a god....but i doubt it in the same i way i doubt the likelihood of new evidence proving that there exists a solid firmament on this flat earth.

Ah God doesn’t deceive, He gives the sinner over to his own evil desires. It’s the sinner who deceives. The evidence will remain the same for believers and nonbelievers. With proof there is no faith. But with true faith God reveals the truth through His Word. A nonbeliever will never understand the truth in His Word because it requires true faith which can only be proven through faith. Then and only then He will open your heart and mind to the truth in His Word.
@gregloa

Ok. Not really interested in the sermon lol.
So if you don't really have any criticism to make about evolution itself then i guess there's little left to discuss.

Ok lol, wasn’t meant to be a sermon, just trying to help you understand what faith really means. So if you don’t have any real interest in the truth through faith then I guess there’s little left to discuss. You know it’s not that atheists choose not to believe in God that is offensive to me. It’s the arrogant way they insult it.
@gregloa

Yeah i don't think faith is a reliable way of knowing what is true because there is literally nothing you cannot belief based upon faith.
Which is why until i have some compelling reason to believe a god exists, i won't conclude that it's responsible for evolution.
Seems reasonable to me.

All I can do is plant a seed. It is God that will make it grow based on what He sees in a man’s heart.
@gregloa

lol ok 👍
