An important aspect of science is being open to and even seeking out that which might disprove your theory.

@MoveAlong Nonsense. People were boiling water long before science figured out why it works. Semmelweis was murdered because science couldn't accept the transition from the miasmatic school of medicine to germ theory. It was only 1986 before they knew that babies could feel pain like everyone else. They wouldn't anesthetize babies in surgery like heart surgery, they only paralyzed them to keep them from squirming. What kind of idiot could stand in a surgical setting and not think, wait a minute. Science has poisoned our air, water, food, land, seeds, medicine, children and minds. Because, like religion before it, though well intended originally, has been allowed to do that without question, and in fact by being glorified without question.

@PathwayMachine Applying science before understand how it works changed human life. The fulcrum and lever were being used long before it was understood. It was no less a scientific advancement.
