Christians love to Strawman Evolution so that they can dismiss it. My challenge to you is this: STEELman the case for evolution.

Show that you understand what evolution is and the arguments and evidence behind it by describing the strongest possible case for evolution.
Strawmanning the case for evolution and then arguing against that imaginary, false idea of it is pointless. At best people will just see that you're misrepresenting the argument and at worst will make you look ignorant of the argument.
Instead, Steelman the case for evolution and then argue against that.

We don't need any more of this "you believe in evolution because you love sin" or "a tornado can't blow through and assemble a 747" , nonsense.

I personally don’t find my faith and the scientific method to be in general incompatible. Much of the Bible and verses have always been known to be allegories and not really designed to be taken word for word literally. I find no incompatibilities and don’t think the Catholic faith as a whole has done so since maybe the dark ages. I support a constantly evolving view of evolution as supported by a rigorous scientific method.
@JustGoneNow

And i think your view is more representative of Christianity in 2022.
Creationism and Young Earth Creationism are ever shrinking subsets of Christianity.
@Pikachu And it seems to be a very evangelical subset of Christians as well. Even most Protestant Christian faiths as a whole tend to hold a similar view towards Science. Some people are just drawn towards conspiracy… this is the religious version of that in my opinion.
@JustGoneNow

Yeah you might be right about that. Because conspiracy does come up a lot when i talk to these people about why so many fields of science seem to be contradicting them.
@Pikachu I kindly present my case, listen thoughtfully to theirs, and respond back again in kindness my rebuttal. I refuse to engage in hate and darkness, until no other paths remain. As much as I believe in kindness, I’m also no doormat. But I always lead with kindness instead of darkness and hate. We have just have so much of the other already.
