Celebrating the 4th… It’s a big one this year!

For me, every day is a weekend. I should grab my cane and go out to the mailbox tomorrow.

@Gibbon Mailbox money has faded away. I know my father was raising hell when he HAD to switch his Army retirement check to direct deposit at the turn of this century. It was tough on the pay offices, banks and congressional staffs when they made all the old Soldiers (Sailors, Marines, Coasties and Airmen) switch to direct deposit. I’m not sure if they did SS before or after that. I have a neighbor who was a Social Security customer service site manager. It was an ordeal. They worked hard the old folks transitioned. It’s very easy now to start SS.

@Thatsright I'm on SS. The only reason I get the pension is because I was with General Dynamics before theirs ended a few years after they purchased our company. I never put a dime in so I certainly don't complain about the amount.

I had lunch with a friend on Saturday. When I came home I took a nap. As for Sunday I don't have any plans.
