How many of you have to work two jobs to make ends meet?

If I was to get back out there I'd probably have to have two jobs. Not because I can't survive on one income but because my job takes the piss...
For your own personal well being you're better working part time either at two places where you can split your time and earn a full time wage or work there and in a different industry completely.

There are a lot of guys that I'm meeting that are saying they're working two jobs... So they pretty much have the weekends only for friends and one evening for a "casual fling"...
How are you living?

And would you agree its better to couple up if you've met the right person it make things a little easier...
(without it being a "using" them situation)
he works so I don't have to

Honestly I would like to have a part time work, aside from my full time job. I have 2 reasons for this, the major one is to escape to toxicity and unfairness work environment I have with my full time work. It's just that there is now a huge differrence between the management before and now.
I cannot leave this full time job that I have because, this job has personal attachment to me and has great impact to my growth not just in career but as a person too, but things change which started last 2019, and it gets worst up to now, too many factors why.
I might be the best example for a very loyal employee who puts too much of time and effort to work.
I think I have exceeded the expectations set to me by my superiors because from simple clerk now I am the "jack of all trades" of accounting department that's what my manager describes me to the bosses.
The next reason is additional income and to also explore other things, aside from current work set up right now. Currently working on some trainings and hopefully to get a part time in the future.
Or... may be I am in denial, that I need to set myself free from this job that I have right now and this part time thing might be the wake up call that I needed to leave. 🤫

@skymint Don't become emotionally attached or invested in a job. They will use and abuse you.

Always seek out new training and recognized certifications. Keep an eye on new opportunities. Your boss doesn't give a damn about you.

@Crazywaterspring 💙 thank you, I'll try my best, not for this job anymore but for myself.

Not me, i have a job that pays shityy according to some but toe it pays well enough that i just have an extra $44,000 USD lying around because i have nothing to spend it on.

Ive literally saved up 44,000 USD without even trying yet people say some broke loser lol.

I told this kid at the gas station how much i made and he was amazed.

But if i told a white person my wage they fukcing laugh in my face, drving around in their tesla with their bytch who has slept with every guy in town.

I fukcing hate how whites look down on hard working guys like me. My and my buddies once avoided a bar because too many rich looking white people were there.

My wife works 5 days/ 8 hours a night /40 hours a week nights so I don't have to work overtime. With my job, it's hulluva tax burden. Always have to pay. I claim married but single and added $200 a paycheck extra so it won't be overwhelming next year. I'd like to retire within 2 years but will see. Making $48.00 an hour for me. My wife makes $18.00 an hour. Just payed All my credit cards off this month. But economy sucks!🙄🤪😎

I would if my job wasn't so demanding, it doesn't allow for part-time second jobs
DarkSideoftheMoon · 31-35, F
Ive worked 2 jobs before and when i was able to have one fulltime job that paid well i just worked the one but now that im married it is a financial help to have a 2nd income but also more of an expense because everything is doubled like the bills and food ect
IDK....

I guess I have three jobs right now.

-I'm qualified to be "retired", so the Government sends me a check every month.
-I get another pension check from a previous employer.
-And I own and work a business.

But TBH, I agree with @saragoodtimes in that I often feel like I am working at the business just to pay taxes. Because the income from the business raises my gross to the point where my Social Security is now taxed as well.

Such is life I suppose.....

I agree 100% My one job pays the bills and leaves about $150 extra a check or $300.00 a month. In order to do anything outside of surviving I have a second job that brings in 65-150 a week. Unfortunately, I only have time for anything Friday night and Saturday Sunday, but at least I have money to do it.
Torsten · 36-40, M
I work two jobs, almost 3 if you count that last really. Two jobs are part time though and the last is my own money making thing I do in my free time
Wol62 · 51-55, M
Thankfully not me, but I am not saying that to gloat!
Anyone that has to work two jobs to survive has my sympathy.
antonioioio · 70-79, M
It's certainly cheaper to live together than separate 🌹
I feel I need to. Supporting 5 of us on my wage 🤷‍♀️
Fukfacewillie · 56-60, M
One job. Wife takes care of the kids. Now that they are older she’s transitioning back.

I used to when I was 19 years old living on my own, that’s why I decided to study alongside holding down those two jobs so my life would be easier today.
