I'm going to be in a new city over the weekend because of work and I might not have the time to go to a bar and pick up a hottie so I might hire a whore. Never done it before (in the UK anyway) so they'll be a novelty appeal.

Well there are a few issues with that:
1. It's admitting to yourself that you don't have self restraint Nd that you can't get laid on your own merit.
2. It's contributing to the degradation and humiliation of a human being to the point of converting them into an objeect-comodity.
3. STD.
4. Getting stabbed (in the balls) by a whore.
5. Getting stabbed by a pimp (probably not in the balls though).

Seriously though did you ever give #2 a thought?
