Why are only women celebrated at/through/by weddings and other marriage related ceremonies?
Men are just considered as 'accessories'.

For the same reason that when a couple gets married, you only "congratulate" the Groom, but you NEVER congratulate the Bride.
To congratulate the Bride is considered a gauche gesture.
Instead, you always wish the Bride eternal happiness and while congratulating the Groom in all cases.
