Why would anyone have weddings at plantations considering their dark history?

Spanish Inquisition doesn’t put people off Catholic Church weddings, neither does the abuse scandal. Location weddings are also not chosen based on the history between that country and the USA. The demographic that are having these weddings is important to know.
