Anyone heard of something called the 'anti-bride movement'?

I don't do Tik-Tok, Instagram, Twitter-X, etc, but appearently it's from one of those toxic sites.
The anti-bride movement is a cultural phenomenon that emerged as a response to traditional wedding norms and expectations. It represents a shift away from the traditional, formal, and often extravagant wedding ceremonies and embraces a more laid-back, unconventional, and individualistic approach to weddings.

Anti-brides typically reject the traditional trappings of weddings, such as elaborate gowns, formal venues, and extravagant decorations. Instead, they opt for more casual attire, non-traditional venues (such as outdoor locations or unconventional spaces), and DIY decorations. The emphasis is on personal expression, authenticity, and intimacy rather than adhering to societal expectations or spending exorbitant amounts of money.

This movement gained momentum as couples began seeking alternatives to the traditional wedding industry, which can often feel overwhelming, commercialized, and impersonal. Anti-brides prioritize experiences over material possessions and focus on celebrating their love in a way that feels genuine and meaningful to them.

Overall, the anti-bride movement celebrates individuality, creativity, and non-conformity, challenging the notion that weddings must adhere to a one-size-fits-all template.

@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays Ok you copied and pasted that from somewhere but thankyou for the explainer. I initially thought it was a veiled form of the 'wgtow' (women going their own way) movement but perhaps not.
@zonavar68 It's just people who don't want to make a fuss, that's all. And I'm wondering how you knew I copied that? You think people went up to Shakespeare and said, "OK, you copied that?"
