Is it tradition to smash cake in the bride's face at her wedding?

Im so confused. (Im on tiktok) The women all seem mad and one groom smashed the cake so hard that the bride fell. Wth?

It's a stupid tradition that has its roots in Ancient Rome. I've never seen it happen at any wedding I've attended, though.
