Yes and it didnt go well at the reception. I have social anxiety very badly. So at the reception the uncle of my friend that was getting married spotted me. I was so grateful he offered me a chair at his table. He gave me so much attention which helped my social anxiety, but then his wife sitting next to him looked positively hurt and miserable. I felt so bad and still to this day feel bad about it.

Yes. I was about 20, and it was an old school friend that I’d known since I was 4-5 years old. I never felt odd as I knew many people there. I don’t recall my partner being there. He must have been working.

I’ve gone to weddings before alone and ended up having a good time. I was also in my mid twenties and ended up meeting some women along the way back then. It bothered me a little to be there alone but there were more than a few who were also there single as well so it just kind of worked.
