Do you think I was mean for telling my sister that her friend’s breakdown isn’t my problem?

So my older sister hasn’t heard from her best friend in a week she last heard from her was last Tuesday. She has called and texted. She was having some mental breakdown. She was telling me about it and I just looked at her and said, “So what do you want me to do about it? That isn’t my problem. Just wait until she messages back. I’m sure she’ll text back.”
I know it sounds mean but I have my own problems to worry about. I am 17 and got to worry about my upcoming senior year of high school.

Maybe shouldn't have been so blunt about it
You could have said hope she gets better

@Sam17 what am I supposed to do, lie to her? I’m sure that her friend is gonna be okay and probably need a break from her electronic. Why? the hell is that any of this my problem?

@Sam17 well I understand she’s worried but what am I supposed to do? I’m not gonna pretend and say that she is my problem when she’s not. I’m just telling the truth

@MissyMoo04 that's true but I don't think your sister knew what to do not all olders know all the answers and maybe she thinks you were the best person to ask for advice

@MissyMoo04 You can't be "sure" that someone is going to be alright if they have mental health problems!!! You may be in a similar situation yourself one day!
