Today, October 13th is Thanksgiving Day in Canada and 7 other countries around the world who also celebrate Thanksgiving (or Harvest Fest) in the month of October.
I'm at my parent's tobacco farm right now where the festivities have been going on here for the past 7 days preceding Thanksgiving Day! All of our extended family from Scandinavia flew over to Canada last weekend and stayed at my parent's place which was like a scene reminiscent of Woodstock in 1969 with bodies sleeping everywhere. But we do that every year and have since forever!
My Dad raises turkeys for Thanksgiving which requires about 3 - 25 pound birds to feed my Scandinavian relatives who don't even celebrate Thanksgiving back home in Norway, Sweden, Finland or Denmark! They all come over here to eat turkey, which is basically a lame excuse for a 7 day party, to be honest!
